Fall is here and the pests will cause pest control problems

With fall and cooler weather all sorts of pests from rodents to spiders are looking to find a warm, cozy home to shack up in. This can be a residential home or a commercial business. These pests do not care which one as long as they have their needs met. After all, nobody wants to be out in the cold when they could easily find an entry point to get in.

So, what do you need to do in fall to prepare for these pests? In Oklahoma we have weather that can change from one minute to the next so it could be 60 degree’s today and 30 degree’s tomorrow. This makes the homes look like paradise to a mouse or spider. Typically a home or business can have dozens of easy access points for these types of pests to enter. You have weep holes, soffit, garage doors without good seals, rotted trim, rotted garage framing and cracks and gaps in siding, brick and other types of holes, access points all around the home. We recommend dealing with these security problems so spiders and rodents don’t take advantage of you.

As the weather gets colder, more and more of these pests will enter. You need a plan in place to minimize their ability to stay. After all, rodents leave feces and urine just about everywhere they go. Mice are known carriers/vectors of disease.
